Potters Mark Studio is primarily a "teaching" space offering two 8-week terms/experiences a year (one in the Fall and the other in the Spring. There are three separate sessions - Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings (both from 6:30 - 8:30pm) and Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 - 2:30pm.

Classes are, purposely, kept small at 10 per session. A variety of hand-building techniques are explored as well as wheel instruction for those that are interested. We fire 2 oxidation (electric) kilns to stoneware temperatures at cones 5-6. Glazes are formulated and mixed by the resident potter and there are approximately 15 to 18 to choose from.

There is an emphasis on "functional" ware as the feeling is that the more something is used, the more it is appreciated. Therefore, all the glazes and materials are food-safe, oven-proof, and can be used in the microwave.
